Chased by deadly assassins, they’re forced to flee their kingdom, leaving them with no choice but to make the treacherous journey north to rally their allies—if they can avoid killing each other first. Accompanying them is Cyra, a northern princess set to marry whichever brother survives and forge the alliance between kingdoms. Tensions run high as the brothers realize they aren’t just fighting for the throne but also Cyra’s affection.

 

As the enemies hunting them close in and Cyra is injured, their journey is thrown off course, forcing Kalliux to rethink if reclaiming the throne is worth the coming war and the lives that will be lost—especially as the long-standing hatred between brothers starts to fizzle. But it’s not just their lives in danger. The fate of their kingdom is in their hands and no matter how far they travel, they can’t outrun their destiny. After all, the prophecy is clear.
